My Specialities

Trauma

Trauma can have lasting effects on our mental and physical health, but it's possible to find a path forward. I have experience in treating trauma through a collaborative and depth-work approach. Being present in the here and now is an important tenant of my trauma work while also understanding the connection to the body which is often fragmented in the course of trauma.

Grief and Loss

Grief and loss can be incredibly difficult to navigate, and it's important to know that you don't have to sit in it alone. No matter what moment of grief you are in, we will work together to not “fix” your grief, but learn how to manage the unmanageable. My approach is slow, compassionate, and nonjudgmental in helping clients process the unthinkable while trying to make sense of the past, present, and future.

EMDR

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, was originally created for the treatment of complex trauma. However, this specialty can be utilized for a multitude of presentations, including grief, anxiety, and body image issues. Together, we can use EMDR to help decrease distress, reduce disturbances, and work towards a more adaptive pathway to healing.

Couples Therapy

Relationships can be challenging, but they can also be incredibly rewarding when the foundation of a relationship feels solid. In couples therapy, I can help improve communication, deepen intimacy, and work through conflicts in a safe and supportive environment.

Life Transitions

Change is one of the only constants in our life, and as humans, this can feel incredibly anxiety-provoking. I enjoy supporting clients in transitions in life by exploring one’s values, goals, and morals, and how to make decisions that are for the betterment of the client.
